Class Time

Please do not drop your child off at the studio more than 5 minutes prior to class.

Always send your dancer into the building fully dressed for class in proper class attire, with street shoes on and dance shoes in a bag, and a bottle of water labeled with your child’s name. Before entering the dance room, dancers will change into dance shoes.

All classes are “closed curtain”, which means teachers, helpers, and students are only in the classroom. This helps minimize distractions for the students.

Please have your child change back into street shoes before leaving the building. Dance shoes are for the studio room only and should never be worn outside.

Studio Etiquette

ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD OR DRINKS PERMITTED inside the lobby/studios, except for bottled water.

If waiting in the lobby, please keep noise to a minimum to avoid disrupting classes.

Dancers may not be left unattended. Be sure to pick up your dancer within 5 minutes of class ending.

To help make sure our traffic flows as smoothly as possible and for the safety of everyone, DO NOT leave your vehicle if you are utilizing our drive-thru drop-off/pick-up line! If you need to bring your dancer inside to drop off or pick up, please park in the designated parking spots.

Music

All classes will use Christian music. However, we will also be using classical music for our Ballet classes and some age-appropriate children’s music for our younger students.

Dress Code

All required class attire must be purchased through the following link: www.shopnimbly.com/sofdance. Items ordered from Nimbly will ship directly to your home for added convenience.

For additional dress code information/details and how to order, click here.

It is expected that class dress codes are followed. If a student arrives for class out of dress code more than twice, they may be asked to observe class only and may not be able to participate.

Camps and Intensives are the only exception. For these classes, your child can wear class dancewear or any modest clothing that the dancer can comfortably move in.

Insurance

It is required that all dance students be covered by their family insurance policies. If an injury occurs, it is understood that the student’s policy is the only source of reimbursement.

Keeping Parents Informed

Communication will be electronic, including newsletters. Please make sure we have a current email address at all times! All information will be emailed.  Steps of Faith also has a Facebook page where you can find information. We also strongly encourage parents to sign up to receive our text messages. Sign up for text updates by texting @sofdance to 81010.

SOF reserves the right to make any changes to all aspects of our business at any time. SOF reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrollment at any time. This is especially possible when a parent does not help us uphold Christian standards of behavior and character.

THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF STEPS OF FAITH DANCE STUDIO!
